OUR AVIAN FRIENDS!!! Part I

The sun slowly rises in the east, and I can barely see the light. But the early morning silence is broken by the gurgling Bulbul and the whistling of the Sun bird as it flits from flower to flower to get the first taste of the nectar from the fresh blooms.
That is when I wonder...Why did God create birds? Is it to satisfy my aesthetic craving for a colourful morning? Is it to substitute the harsh call of my alarm call ? Or was it just God's fancy? Just wanted to add some colour to the blue sky.
Well for starters we would be deprived of the early morning musical we are all treated to. Much better than the ringing of the alarm , be it your mobile or the clock.
The colour they provide as they flit from flower to flower and from tree to tree in search of that early worm, that sweet nectar that the freshly blooming flowers offer. It is a sight to behold. And I wish we would spend more time just watching the birds and nature go by with the early morning cuppa instead of sitting in front of the telly. Listening to what happened to the world while we were asleep or what the Gods and the Stars have in store for us.
Of course besides these pleasant sights and aesthetic value addition, these birds do have an important role to play in that all important food web or food chain. Some sitting on the top of the web preying on the little ones and some sitting below picking away at the grass seeds.
Let us, by and by see how these birds help us live our lives while they quietly go about their business of eating, drinking and sleeping , and all the while whistling a merry tune to keep up their spirits and ours.
